The Tophat with María-Elisa Heg

Houston-based artist María-Elisa Heg published a beautifully illustrated edition of a story I wrote—The Tophat. Heg's swirling linework and staggered framing, with panels irrupting into one another, perfectly captured the claustrophobic essence of this parable of migration, alienation, and redemption. What a joy to see words I wrote interpreted with such care!

This work was featured in an installation at the CentralTrak artists' residency in Dallas, Texas, USA, and copies were made available for sale in limited distribution.
