I got a couple months behind on the blogging, so I can't give these texts the attention I'd like.
Daphne du Maurier (1938). Rebecca.
I loved this book so much. Gothic obsession, breathless narrator, villains whose big crime are their unspeakableโunspeakable!โevil. Absolutely delicious.
Aldous Huxley (1954). The Doors of Perception.
Aldous Huxley (1956). Heaven and Hell.
Huxley on the spiritual and social potentials of mescaline, describing experiences of his own and making the case for for widespread use and study of psychedelics.
(1999). The Chung Pyung Providence and the Way of Blessed Families.
(200?). Ancestor Liberation Booklet.
Unificationist texts related to Cheong Pyeong. Cheong Pyeong was central to church ministry in the 1990s, but I never went myself (until recently) and was generally not plugged in to what exactly it was, other than what I could glean from testimonies of mountain-climbing and prayer conditions. (I was, for instance, never sure who exactly Dae Mo Nim was.) Here's a photo of me there last year.
